About Us

We are Martin and Ann Jones, having pursued careers in agriculture and food we have returned to our native area to restore and run a traditional Welsh smallholding. We are passionate about food and how it is produced, rearing our own food as slowly and as organically as possible to give high quality produce. Preserving countryside traditions and forgotten cooking skills....Ann can be frequently found making something from home grown garden produce or harvested from the hedgerows, these delights include elderflower cordial and champagne, sloe gin, wild fruit jams and chutneys, which invariably find their way to the farm larder for sharing with our guests. Freshly made slowly fermented breads are a staple at Pant yr Hwch, delicious multi-seeded loaves to enjoy with freshly collected eggs, home reared bacon and sausages; homemade cakes and biscuits for afternoon tea.

Our teenage daughter Fflur helps out after school and introduces our guests to the animals, including woolly pig Lulu, and our ‘O’ named flock of sheep, including Olwen, Olga and Olivia.
